Wawrzyniak disqualified for two years

Hugollek - Wiadomość archiwalna

Jakub Wawrzyniak has been disqualified for two years by the Disciplinary Commission of the Greek league due to taking illegal stimulants. After the first boob (on 5th April in the match against AO Xanthi) defender was disqualified for three months. With regard to his appeal, the punishment was augmented to one year. However, the Greek National Institute Against Dopes examined all other samples taken from the footballer after earlier games.

It turned out that the same illegal substance had been found in two samples (matches against Panionios [on 21st February] and Asteras Tripolis [on 22nd March]). Regarding to this situation, Wawrzyniak's disqualification has been extended to two years.
Legia's defender announced that he was going to appeal against the Disciplinary Commission's decision. "As soon as I receive the official document, I will appeal against the decision to the Sport Commission of Arbitration (CAS) in Lausanne. I am not going to give up and I am not going to stop the trainings" – said Jakub Wawrzyniak
