Vrdoljak remains Legia’s captain

There were some rumours at the beginning of the preparations for the new season concerning the person who ought to become Legia’s captain in the new season. Ivica Vrdoljak, who was Warsaw team’s captain in the season 2010/2011, was chosen then to perform his function by the coach, not by the team. Legia’s coach Maciej Skorża announced that the captain would be chosen through team’s voting this time.

However, it seems that voting will not be necessary and the Croatian will be still Warsaw team’s first captain. “Legia’s captain is Ivica Vrdoljak and he fulfilled his duties properly. That is why no one even wants to think of changes” – said Legia’s coach’s assistant Jacek Magiera in one of Polish radio programmes.
